Everyone welcome Joey!!!!!!!!!!!!
Joey is a very sweet 8 month old boxer boy. Joey is a very flashy fawn with
large, sad brown eyes. Joey was found as a stray after neighbors watched for
two weeks while he tried his best to get food from a Lee's chicken dumpster.
Finally they called animal control to help save him. He came to the shelter
very dehydrated and emaciated. No one came to claim this wonderful little boy.
We were asked to help.
When we picked up Joey he was a bag of bones!!! You could count every rib,
every vertebrae in his back, and see his hip bones sticking out. And those sad
eyes!!!!!!!!!! But with good food, and LOTS of love and TLC Joey is gaining
weight, a whopping 6 lbs., but he still needs more.
Joey is neutered, totally housebroken, crate trained, UTD on his shots,
micro-chipped, heartworm neg. and on meds, and Frontline. As he puts on weight
his is becoming a normal, bouncing boxer boy full of energy and playfulness. He
is one lover!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! He is a couch potato who likes to rest his head of
a pillow. His foster Mom felt so sorry for him in his condition that she didn't
have they heart to tell him "off" the couch. He knows the command "off, come,
and sit." He loves going for a ride and for long walks. He is a gentleman.
Joey needs to put on about another 5+ lbs. while with us. So his adoption will
not be right away, but will be available soon. He will probably weigh about 55
to 60 lbs.
Pictures of this sweet boy will be coming shortly. Your heart will melt when
you meet him in person!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Joey's adoption fee will be $250, a secure, fenced yard is required, adoptions
within a 50-mile radius of St. Louis ONLY, and a homevisit is required also.
Check our website for dates and locations for our "Meet & Greet" events.
To inquire about Joey, please send us an email. |
